I had to keep reminding myself that Kyonna was a 22 y.o. Her antics and decisions throughout this book had me shaking my head. She kept that same whiny a$$ energy through the whole book and she's lucky she came out on top..Rhys was on his grown man ish and lil girl was lucky...

No regrets
I liked the story line. The way it all played out was nice. Glad neither had any regrets. Tay Monae is an author that has a way with telling the story to keep your attention.

Spoiled and manipulative
The FMC annoyed me the entire book. She was manipulative and spoiled. She didn’t get any consequences for her actions so she couldn’t have learned any lessons. Narration was great though.

Mismatched couple
The female lead was a spoiled brat and manipulative. she brought nothing to the table except her sex in my opinion. The male lead was a great character as you can see I think he's too good for her. Dragging out the big reveal and then telling him in such a way was a let down.

Ry and Ky
Well, it started out super great for me. I loved the story line of falling in love with your brother's friend. The older man, younger woman aspect was a nice touch also. But the drag was the Not telling him part, there were too many chances that were missed. Even the blowup scene when it "slipped " out was a let down. So much could've been taken out to add on to that particular scene.... Anyway I love how Ry gradually came to love KY bear.

Keyonna play too much!
For someone to always be called smart and on her ish... little Ms. Keyonna actions contradicted that. To be honest she should have had to go through a lot more than she did after the antics she pulled. I almost stopped listening because she was working my nerves. I had to remember she was young, fresh out of college.. And to be honest I don't really see what she brought to the relationships for that grown @ss man who was on his grown man ish! 🤷🏾♀️

Love this series!
I read the book prior and knew it would make for a great audible! It didn’t disappoint. Great selection for the narrators. I’m hoping to hear Kaspin’s story soon
